    Album Reviews

Drone Metal will not be a genre acclaimed by the public, but few sometimes you find interesting proposals within this derivative of doom metal. "REVERENTIA" defines well the concepts of the metal drone, without leaving it alone, plays with the raw settings of black and death metal, giving it a heavier and torn sound in our ears.

    Duane Patterson

The music on Reverentia was takes on form of post-metal is impregnated with black metal atmospherics, layers of shoegaze wall-of-sound sonics and doom metal riffs, creating a drone metal beast! They manage to be really heavy and really ethereal all at the same time, which a very good thing.

    Lyrics

    Weight of the World

    The cancer of this world
Transgresses against the one true God
    The eyes are growing dim
As we watch our own hearts sin
But the true fountain of life is found
In Your grace and Your abounding love Lord
You shared Your love with us

You make the crooked path straight
Your Son sent to bare our burdens
We lift up Your Holy name Lord
You make these torn, dry, bones new

The weight of this cruel world breaks our spines in two
    with a mighty crack
We cry and beg for You great Lord to just
    please take it all back

You make the crooked path straight
Your Son sent to bare our burdens
We lift up your Holy name Lord
You make these torn, dry, bones new

    The chaos of this world
Blasphemies against the one true God
    The souls are wearing thin
As we feel our own minds bend
But the true love of eternity
Is In Your word forever clear
Through Your great love we will follow You
Because You shared Your light with us

You make the crooked path straight
Your Son sent to bare our burdens
We lift up your Holy name Lord
You make these torn, dry, bones new

    Mere Symbols

We must not cling to a symbol
Our hope can not rest in steel or wood
We cling to the One who made us
Having faith, trusting in His truth and mercy

We don't need these "Christian" symbols
To help us worship and pray
We just look inside to see
What is truly there upon the throne of our hearts

    Our crosses and our jewelry
    With our Christian flags
They're only reminders of who we
Truly praise and worship in His glory up on high

We look at where our hope lies
It's not with something in our hands
Or something that we place around our necks
We don't show our faith through trinkets

    We focus on You
    We live for You

We must not cling to a symbol
Our hope can not rest in steel or wood
We cling to the One who made us
Having faith, trusting in his truth and mercy

    We focus on You
    We live for You

We must not cling to a symbol
Our hope can not rest in steel or wood
We cling to the One who made us
Having faith, trusting in his truth and mercy

    In Christ Alone

In Christ alone my hope is found
He is my light, my strength, my song
    This Cornerstone, this solid ground
Firm through the fiercest drought and storm
What heights of love, what depths of peace
When fears are stilled, when strivings cease
My Comforter, my All in All
Here in the love of Christ I stand

In Christ alone, who took on flesh
Fullness of God in helpless babe
This gift of love and righteousness
Scorned by the ones He came to save
'Til on that cross as Jesus died
The wrath of God was satisfied
For every sin on Him was laid
Here in the death of Christ I live, I live

There in the ground His body lay
Light of the world by darkness slain
Then bursting forth in glorious Day
Up from the grave He rose again
And as He stands in victory
Sin's curse has lost its grip on me
For I am His and He is mine
Bought with the precious blood of Christ

No guilt in life, no fear in death
This is the power of Christ in me
From life's first cry to final breath
    Jesus commands my destiny
No power of hell, no scheme of man
Can ever pluck me from His hand
Till He returns or calls me home
Here in the power of Christ I'll stand

    I will stand
I will stand, all other ground is sinking sand
All other ground, all other ground
Is sinking sand, is sinking sand
    So I'll stand

    Amazing Grace

Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound,
That saved a wretch like me
I once was lost but now am found,
Was blind, but now, I see

    T'was Grace that taught
    my heart to fear
    And Grace, my fears relieved
How precious did that Grace appear
    the hour I first believed

Through many dangers, toils and snares
    we have already come
T'was Grace that brought us safe thus far
and Grace will lead us home

The Lord has promised good to me
    His word my hope secures
He will my shield and portion be
    as long as life endures

When we've been here ten thousand years
    bright shining as the sun
We've no less days to sing God's praise
    then when we've first begun

Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound,
That saved a wretch like me
I once was lost but now am found,
Was blind, but now, I see

    Leave It There

Leave it there, leave it there,
Take your burden to the Lord and leave it there.
If you trust and never doubt, He will surely bring you out.
Take your burden to the Lord and leave it there.

If the world from you withhold of its silver and its gold,
And you have to get along with meager fare,
    Just remember, in His Word, how He feeds the little bird;
Take your burden to the Lord and leave it there.

Leave it there, leave it there,
Take your burden to the Lord and leave it there.
If you trust and never doubt, He will surely bring you out.
Take your burden to the Lord and leave it there.

If your body suffers pain and your health you can’t regain,
And your soul is almost sinking in despair,
    Jesus knows the pain you feel, He can save and He can heal;
Take your burden to the Lord and leave it there.

Leave it there, leave it there,
Take your burden to the Lord and leave it there.
If you trust and never doubt, He will surely bring you out.
Take your burden to the Lord and leave it there.

When your enemies assail and your heart begins to fail,
    Don’t forget that God in Heaven answers prayer;
He will make a way for you and will lead you safely through.
Take your burden to the Lord and leave it there.

Leave it there, leave it there,
Take your burden to the Lord and leave it there.
If you trust and never doubt, He will surely bring you out.
Take your burden to the Lord and leave it there.

When your youthful days are gone and old age is stealing on,
    And your body bends beneath the weight of care;
He will never leave you then, He’ll go with you to the end.
Take your burden to the Lord and leave it there.

Leave it there, leave it there,
Take your burden to the Lord and leave it there.
If you trust and never doubt, He will surely bring you out.
Take your burden to the Lord and leave it there.
